New standards may be implemented before the end of the year
The reporter verified with Du Xiaozhong, deputy director of the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, and Li Kunsheng, director of the Atmospheric Department, that according to the plan, the national standard oil will be implemented within this year. Du Shaozhong said that the gasoline standard is being formulated now. Next, it is necessary to formulate new vehicle standards. Previously, Beijing had already implemented the automobile country III and national IV standards ahead of the country. Li Kunsheng said that the policy will continue and strive to eliminate 150,000 old vehicles by the end of this year. After the new car adopts the national V standard, the old car will be affected by excessive emissions.
