According to foreign reports, the Bridgestone Group recently announced that Asahiko Nishiyama, Chairman of Bridgestone America , will return to Japan as Vice President and Senior Executive of the Bridgestone Group's international tire business. The effective date is January 1, 2011.
After Asahiko Nishiyama assumes a new position, the following departments will report directly to him: Asian and Australian tires, Chinese tires, Middle East and African tires and special tires.
Masaaki Tsuya, member of the Bridgestone Group, the board of directors of Bridgestone USA, vice president of Bridgestone, and chief human rights officer of executive and company management, will serve as the temporary chairman of Bridgestone U.S. until his successor takes office; Masaaki Tsuya will retain his Bridgestone United States.
From January 1, 2011, Yasutaka Enoki, Bridgestone’s US Research Technology Center and Executive Vice President of US Bridgestone’s Product Development, will serve as Deputy Executive Director of Bridgestone’s European Rome Technology Center.
