According to reports, industry sources said on Tuesday that China's spot price for propylene oxide (PO) hit a 27-month high and may continue to rise in the coming weeks because of reduced cargo from the Middle East and strong demand for downstream polyether polyols. It is expected that prices will also increase with the prices of upstream propylene and downstream polyols. China's propylene oxide spot price on Tuesday was RMB 14,500/tonne ($2,180/tonne) (delivered price), up 4% from the beginning of November, market participants said.
