    The European Train Control System (ETCS) is a unified train operation control system established to ensure the interoperability of high-speed trains within the European railway network. ETCS is a point-type train control system based on European transponder (plus local European loop) and on-board equipment, and can adapt to a maximum operating speed of 200-250km/h. The Central Dispatch Center determines the order of the train access and the train operation. The onboard equipment automatically controls the operation of the train based on the distance to the preceding train, speed requirements, and the like.

    The American Railway Train Control System (ATCS) consists of five major functional modules: dispatching command center/central control system; locomotive on-board equipment to realize train control and positioning; wireless data communication system; two-way information transmission between train and ground control center ( Voice and digital communications); ground equipment, including train positioning transponders, wireless relay base stations, antennas, etc.; line maintenance of mobile terminals. ATCS is a closed-loop decentralized control system that uses computers, wireless and digital communication technologies. It helps train drivers to optimize driving by rationally arranging trains to go over and meet. Dispatch and command centers timely notify trains or line data, and on-board computers monitor operations and equipment at any time. Status, timely measures to eliminate hidden dangers and increase safety; provide effective operation plans and operation adjustment plans, introduce mobile obstruction, and increase the capacity of existing lines.
