2012 China Corporate Social Responsibility Industry Corporate Social Responsibility Report Conference was held in Beijing. At the meeting, a total of 74 corporate social responsibility reports were issued, including 10 petrochemical companies. Gu Xiulian, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People's Congress and Honorary President of the China Federation of Industrial Economics, attended the meeting. The deputy director of the Economic Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the president of the China Federation of Industrial Economics Li Yi made a speech.
The 74 companies that issued this report increased their number by 31 compared to 2011, including 10 petrochemical companies: Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum (Group) Co., Ltd., China National Chemical Corporation, Xinjiang Tianye (Group) Co., Ltd., and Guizhou Kaikai. Phosphorus Group Co., Ltd., Libang Coatings (China) Co., Ltd., Shaanxi Coal Chemical Group Co., Ltd., Chengdu Sibao Technology Co., Ltd., Fujifilm (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Shanghai Fuda Tape Products Co., Ltd., and Linzhou City Green Energy Natural Gas Co., Ltd.
Li Yizhong pointed out in his speech that in the past year, the understanding and practice of corporate social responsibilities in the industrial sector have steadily advanced through continuous exploration, and the positive results have been achieved in many aspects such as the construction of credit system, compliance management, structural adjustment, and energy conservation and emission reduction. A total of 898 companies submitted social responsibility reports, an increase of 18.2% over the previous year. During the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan†period, new requirements have been put forward for enterprises to fulfill their social responsibilities. Changes in the economic situation and social structure have prompted enterprises to implement the mechanism for renouncing responsibilities. The comprehensive promotion of industrial transformation and upgrading will also strongly promote the acceleration of corporate social responsibility. He proposed to further improve the government, industry, enterprises, society, "four in one, diversification and common promotion," the collaborative promotion mechanism, give full play to the role of all parties to build a long-term mechanism for the construction of corporate social responsibility.
At the meeting, Guo Qingren, party secretary of Xinjiang Tianye (Group) Co., Ltd., and Zhao Haitao, deputy secretary of the party committee of Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum (Group) Co., Ltd., made a special speech on behalf of the publishing company.
The meeting was supported by 9 departments including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Commerce, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the State General Administration of Quality Supervision, and the State Administration of Work Safety. Organized by the China Federation of Industrial Economics, China Coal, Machinery, Steel, Petrochemicals , Light industry, textile, building materials, non-ferrous metals, electricity, mining and other ten national industrial associations.
