DIN/ISO4383 and ISO/TS16949 certified 1) Wet Cylinder The bores and running surfaces in the cylinder block must be carefully cleaned and undamaged. Corroded areas should be reworked (using flange liners or oversized outer diameter liners). Ensure the liner fits easily and is correctly positioned (the projecting length of the liner must meet engine manufacturer specifications). After installation with the seat rings, check the cylinder diameter in the seal ring area to ensure no deformation due to tight seals. Using incorrect seal rings can cause narrowing of the cylinder, potentially damaging the engine. The cooling system should be pressure tested after installation to check for leaks before starting the engine. 2) Semi-finished Cylinder Liner The surface supporting the flange must be perpendicular to the location bore and evenly beveled. Uneven support may cause tearing. After installing the semi-finished liner, the inner diameter is finely bored and finished by honing to the specified dimensions (for finely bored linings, only honing is performed, following DIN ISO H5 tolerance). The liner’s surface must align with the cylinder block’s sealing surface; if needed, both the block and liner should be surface ground. 3) Finished Cylinder Liner Before installation, the location bore in the cylinder block must be cleaned and checked for dimensional accuracy and distortion. Off-center or damaged bores can be reworked for oversized liner installation. It is important that the locating bore is cylindrical, as it determines the geometry of the pressed-in thin-walled liner. 4) Air-cooled Cylinder Liner Cast iron or light alloy cylinders are used according to the engine manufacturer’s instructions. Light alloy cylinders are divided into several groups due to small installation clearances in standard dimensions. We can produce the following cylinder liners:
