Atlas Copco launches four new barrel crushers

    Atlas Copco has launched four new barrel crushers with drill rigs to efficiently and economically reuse various inert materials on site. Bitumen, stones, concrete rubble, and materials from mines and quarries can all be broken down and reused directly or sold to third parties.
    Barrel crushers with rig equipment can help the user meet the European Union's regulations on waste disposal, which requires that 70% of the waste generated before construction and demolition by 2020 must be reused. Atlas Copco's barrel crusher can reduce the number of on-site mechanical equipment, reduce the cost of transportation and landfills, and can be used on all urban sites, especially in restricted conditions.
    Atlas Copco's hydraulic barrel crusher has a large-capacity, wide-aperture barrel. The output size can be easily adjusted in the range of 20-120mm (BC 1500: 20-100mm).
    This product family inherits the consistent advantages of all Atlas Copco hydraulic attachments: low cost of ownership. The barrel crusher requires less maintenance: The lubrication interval is 30 hours, and only two lubrication points are standard maintenance positions.
    All key components are durable, even under extreme pressure. The barrel's crotch part takes most of the pressure. The concept of clever wear parts is used in the design. It can be reversed, the upper and lower jaws can be interchanged, or the individual turns can be rotated 180 degrees so that the rear part can also be used.
    There are four types of barrel crusher products, ranging in weight from 1500 – 4900kg, which can be used for any excavator larger than 12 tons. (This article comes from Atlas Copco)
