On June 7, the reporter was informed that Guangxi Yuchai Power and Beitou CNPC signed an engine joint venture framework agreement, and the two sides invested a total of 1.51 billion yuan to establish a heavy-duty vehicle engine production base in Baotou City.
According to the framework agreement, the joint venture company is named "Baotou Beiben Yuchai Engine Co., Ltd." and the sponsors include Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., Baotou Beiben Heavy Truck Co., Ltd., Inner Mongolia First Machinery Group Co., Ltd. and Yuchai United. Power Co., Ltd. mainly produces vehicles such as YC6A, YC6L, YC6MK, and YC6K diesel and gas engines. The project will be constructed in three phases and it is estimated that the annual output will reach 100,000 units after completion.
According to reports, among the top eight Chinese heavy truck manufacturers, besides Beiben Heavy Duty Truck, other heavy truck manufacturers have independent engine plants. The traditional diesel engine market has always been “Southern Yuchai, North "Chai Chai" situation. The cooperation between Yuchai and Beiben Heavy Duty Trucks not only opens up new breakthroughs in the north, but also complements the advantages and resource sharing. Beiben Heavy Duty Trucks has also solved the bottleneck caused by the engine.
