On October 16, 2014, Bridgestone Japan announced its latest 5-year medium-term plan. The plan covers the five-year period from 2015 to 2019, including the management objectives of the 2014 medium-term plan.
Bridgestone has set the goal of returning assets of 6% and operating profits of 10% and 12% return on equity (in comparison, these figures were 6.2%, 12.3%, and 12.7%, respectively, in 2013). At the same time, the company set a target of 10% for the operating profit of its subsidiaries, and Bridgestone hopes that these subsidiaries will continue to grow.
