On Wednesday afternoon around 4:40 PM, a fire broke out in a large "S"-shaped courtyard apartment building located at the corner of Lunt and Bell. Firefighters arrived quickly and contained the blaze, which eventually escalated to a 2-11 alarm. Engine 102 was the first unit on scene and reported flames on the second floor. They are seen below preparing to use the tower ladder. Truck 25 had their aerial ladder extended in sector one, while Tower Ladder 21 was positioned at the intersection of Lunt and Bell. The back porches were affected but weren’t visible due to the building’s unique layout. When I arrived at 5:15 PM, most of the fire had moved to the top floor and the roof, making it hard to see clearly because of the tall trees lining the street. A rehab unit was set up on Bell Street, as shown below.
