Circuit board transistor fault Toyota recalls 110,000 hybrids

General Electric reported on June 29 that Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. recently stated that due to the failure of some of the company’s models of circuit board transistors, the company will recall 114,000 hybrid vehicles in the United States, Japan and Europe.

According to a Reuters report, Toyota Motor Corporation announced on June 29 that it had recalled 45,500 Highlander hybrids and 36,700 Lexus RX 400h cars from the US market.

TMS USA said in a statement on Wednesday, June 29th, that some of the models involved in the recall were not sufficiently solid to weld the transistors, which could cause the car to be damaged by heat during heavy loads. It is understood that, in most cases, the problem vehicle will enter a fail-safe driving mode, allowing the vehicle to run at a lower power.

In addition, the United States Toyota Motor Sales Company also said that the recall does not involve other Toyota or Lexus brand models. At the same time, the company also stated that it will inform the owner of the recalled vehicles in July. At present, the company is working hard to prepare spare parts for replacement.
