    It is a method of calculating reserves using the contour of a certain indicator. There are two main types:

    1. Coal thickness contour method (Figure 2-8-22)

    The essence of the law is to treat a coal body with a large thickness and an irregular bottom surface as a geometric shape with a flat bottom surface and a complex top surface. It is like a topographic map of a mountain, dividing the coal body into a series of equal thick blocks. The reserves of the entire coal seam can be obtained from the reserves of each segment. The formula for calculating the volume of the entire coal body is:

S (the area controlled by the equal thickness lines 1, 2, ..., n, respectively, where S„ is coal The bottom area of ​​the last cone that the body can form; h is the spacing of the equal thickness lines; h0 is the height of the last cone formed by the coal body, with the convexity being positive and the concave being negative.

    Multiplying the volume of the entire geometry by the average bulk density of the coal is the total reserve.

    Use a transparent grid to cover the contour map of the coal seam, as shown in Figure 2-8-23, the thickness of the coal seam at the small center of each small square (determined by the equal-line interpolation method), ie Representing the average thickness of the inner coal seam in a small square, then:

    The volume of the coal seam multiplied by the bulk density is the reserve of the coal seam. Here AS$ is a constant, so the main job of this method is to find the h value in each small square.

    To apply this method, it is necessary to pay attention to some incomplete small squares, which are processed by the method of calculating the area by using the square grid described above.

    The advantage of the contour method is that it can clearly and intuitively reflect the distribution characteristics of the coal seam structure, morphology and other factors, but it requires complicated drawing and calculation, is not easy to check, and has a narrow application surface. It is mainly used in mining areas with simple structure, gentle production, no fracture and large scale, and considerable variation of coal seam thickness. At the same time, the engineering density is required to ensure the correctness of various factors of coal seam.

    Taichi Sword

    The Taichi sword is typically a straight, single-edged blade with a slightly curved handle. It is often made of stainless steel or high-quality carbon steel. The length of the sword varies depending on the practitioner's height but is generally around 36 to 40 inches.

    The Taichi sword is not primarily used as a weapon for combat but rather as a tool for refining one's Tai Chi skills. It is an extension of the practitioner's body and is used to enhance balance, coordination, and strength. The slow, precise movements with the sword help develop a deep understanding of Tai Chi principles such as relaxation, proper body alignment, and energy flow.

    When practicing Tai Chi with the sword, practitioners engage in a series of choreographed forms or routines called "jian" or "jianfa." These forms combine graceful, flowing movements with precise sword techniques, including thrusts, cuts, and spins. The focus is on maintaining a relaxed and centered state while moving in harmony with the sword.
