Dalian Locomotive Successfully Developed Diesel Engine Electronic Fuel Injection Controller

    On December 22, 2013, the electronically-injected controller of the Harvard N3 diesel locomotive independently researched and developed by Dalian Locomotive Corporation passed the speed regulation test, indicating that the EFI controller broke the monopoly of foreign technology and was about to enter the stage of loading application evaluation. .

    The 16V265H diesel engine is the "heart" of the Harmony N3 locomotive. The technology in the current domestic similar products is relatively advanced. This kind of diesel engine adopts the electronic control system. Because there are technical barriers to EFI technology, the core technology is controlled by a few foreign companies. At present, the EFI controller still needs to be imported.

    Compared with the traditional mechanical speed control method, the electronic fuel injection diesel engine can take advantage of the rapidity and accuracy of electronic signal transmission, so that the diesel engine control is more accurate and stable. In order to break the technical monopoly of foreign companies in the field of diesel engine EFI controllers, Dalian Locomotive Corporation mobilized its technical backbone. After four years of design, manufacturing, testing and improvement, it successfully developed an electronically controlled controller with completely independent intellectual property rights.

    The controller accumulatively applied for 3 national invention patents and 1 utility model patent, and published 4 core journal search papers. The electrical interface and main functions of the new EFI controller can be equivalently replaced with the original EMDEC EFI controller. At the same time, it can be compatible with the Harmony N3 locomotive on-board microcomputer to realize the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of the diesel engine. This technology is at the leading level in domestic similar products, can effectively improve the performance of diesel engines, optimize the fuel economy of diesel engines, and improve emissions. In particular, the fuel consumption rate index, the new electronic injection controller equivalent to, or even better than the imported electronic fuel injection controller.
