When power outages are required, problems of this kind or the like often occur and they do not have an emergency function. In order to enable the emergency generator to start and operate normally during power outage, emergency power supply shall be provided in time, and maintenance must be performed at ordinary times. Simple maintenance methods are as follows.

1. Maintenance of battery pack

Because the emergency power supply is not often used, if the maintenance of the battery pack is neglected, the battery power will be insufficient and the generator will not start normally. Therefore, even if the generator is not used, it should be maintained as usual. If regular addition of distilled water, to maintain the battery surface clean, start the generator regularly to charge the battery, according to the battery life, replace the new battery, etc., so that the battery always has enough power.

2. Startup solenoid valve maintenance

If the starting solenoid coil is blown, the generator cannot start. The judgment can be made by listening to the sound at the start. Normally, when the start button is pressed for 3 seconds, it can be started. Within this 3s, you can hear the sound of "bang and bang." If you do not hear the second sound, the solenoid valve is damaged and you can start the solenoid valve after it is replaced. Check the surface of the starting solenoid valve regularly for oil contamination and whether the contacts are ablated, so that the solenoid valve maintains a good working condition.

3 attention to the inspection of diesel and oil

The diesel oil tank of the generator is generally placed in a sealed room. As the water vapor in the atmosphere condenses due to temperature changes, the water droplets adhere to the inner wall of the tank and then flow into the diesel. As a result, the water content in the diesel exceeds the standard, which ultimately causes the plunger of the high-pressure pump to rust, and the unit's oil supply is poor. Of course, it cannot start operation. The engine oil of the generator has a shelf life, the storage time is too long, the physical and chemical properties of the engine oil will change, the lubrication function will be lost, the lubrication condition of the generator unit will deteriorate, and the mechanical parts of the small generator will eventually be damaged. Therefore, even if the emergency generator is not in use, it is necessary to periodically start the test machine and periodically replace the diesel and oil.
