Pneumatic diaphragm pump installation conditions

    The diameter of the suction tube of the pneumatic diaphragm pump shall not be less than the diameter of the inlet port of the pump. If the high viscosity fluid is conveyed, the diameter of the suction tube is preferably larger than the diameter of the pump inlet. The suction piping at the inlet end must be durable, without wrinkles, to produce a high vacuum. The diameter of the outlet piping should be at least equal to the outlet diameter, or slightly larger to reduce the friction loss. All piping and fittings must be leak-proof, otherwise the self-priming ability of the pump will be reduced.

    Pneumatic Diaphragm Pump Installation: If you ignore the installation details, careful planning, research, and selection over a long period of time will still result in poor pumping performance and affect pump life.

    Location: Noise, safety, and other logic factors usually have requirements on where the equipment should be installed. Parallel installation with conflicting requirements may result in blockage of the use area, affecting the installation of other pumps.

    Use: First of all, the position of the pneumatic diaphragm pump must be easy to use, which will facilitate maintenance personnel to carry out daily inspection and debugging.

    Air supply: Each air-operated diaphragm pump should have a vent tube, and the vent tube should provide sufficient air volume to achieve the desired pump flow. The pressure may vary depending on the pumping requirements, but do not exceed 7 BAR.

    Installation height: Please fully consider the self-priming ability of the pneumatic diaphragm pump to avoid the problem of reduced self-priming.

    Pipeline: The pump position can not be determined until after considering the location of each possible pipeline problem.

    The best installation should be chosen at the connection of the shortest and straightest inlet and outlet lines. Extra bends and fittings should be avoided as much as possible. The pump body should be able to support all the pipes independently. Moreover, the piping should be arranged in order to avoid stress on the pump piping.

    A flexible hose can be installed to eliminate the stress generated by the natural reciprocating action of the pump. To connect the pump body to a fixed base, placing a cushion between the pump body and the base will help reduce pump vibration.
