Shaanxi small circuit breaker quality inspection pass rate 97.7%

Guidance: Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau of Shaanxi Province conducted supervision and spot checks on the quality of miniature circuit breakers in the first quarter of 2011. Samples were all drawn from the distribution companies in Xi'an. A total of 17 companies were spot-checked and 44 batches of samples were taken. After testing, 43 batches were qualified, and the sampling pass rate was 97.7%.

The spot checks are based on the relevant standards and requirements of the “Detailed Rules for the Implementation of Supervision and Inspection of Mini-Circuit Breakers”, the signs of miniature circuit breakers, the reliability of the current-carrying parts and connections of the screws, the reliability of the terminals connecting external conductors, and the protection against electric shock. Ten items including insulation resistance, dielectric strength, temperature rise, tripping characteristics, clearance, and creepage distance were examined.

The problem with the quality of miniature circuit breakers is that the performance characteristics of the items are not qualified. The operating characteristic is an important indicator of the protection of the circuit breaker when the load current is over current or short circuit. The failure of this project is that when the test current is 1.13 times the rated current, the circuit breaker should not be operated within 1 hour, but it has been tripped during the actual test. Unqualified items can easily cause circuit breakers to malfunction when the load current fluctuates near the rated current. Reflects the company's problems in product design and component procurement.

For the main quality problems found in spot checks, the Shaanxi Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision will instruct the city's quality and technical supervision departments to strictly follow the requirements of the relevant laws and regulations such as the product quality law, and deal with enterprises that fail to meet the quality requirements during the random inspection process in accordance with the law, and supervise the enterprises within the time limit.
