Shanghai GM has sold more than 600,000 vehicles this year, an increase of 58%

    Shanghai General Motors revealed that as of August 18, the company has sold a total of 601,008 vehicles, an increase of 58% year-on-year. As a result, the goal of completing the annual sales volume of 850,000 vehicles is not suspenseful.

    Compared with last year, it exceeded 600,000 vehicles in three months ahead of schedule. This achievement was benefited from Shanghai General Motors' “multi-brand, full-series” development strategy. Among them, the Buick brand has sold 319,666 units this year; the Chevrolet brand has continued to grow rapidly with sales of 272,182 units; the Cadillac brand has grown rapidly and has sold 9,110 units.

    In terms of sub-products, the new Chevrolet Sail, Chevrolet Le Feng Yue form a 56,800 yuan -10.79 million fine car front line, stable in the forefront of the car market share. In the compact midsize car market, a strong product lineup was formed by Buick Excelle, Buick Hideo XT, Buick Hideo GT and Chevrolet Cruze, with product prices ranging from RMB 100,000 to 190,000. In the high-class sedan market, the "Shuangjun" consisting of New LaCrosse and Xinjunwei achieved sales of 11,1992 vehicles, and its market share in the same tier from January to July reached 16.3%. In the luxury car market, the three main models of Cadillac, SLS Seville, SRX, and CTS jointly attacked. Currently, the brand sales volume increased by 153% compared to the same period of last year. The new generation of SRXs in particular performed well and became a popular model in the mid-range luxury SUV market.

    Shanghai General Motors has implemented the “Green Dynamics” corporate strategy. More than 60% of the 600,000 vehicles sold are new-generation green products launched in the past two years. At present, the Shanghai General Motors Buick and Chevrolet brands have a total of 17 models on the “Energy-saving products Huimin Project” list of energy-saving vehicles, ranking first in domestic joint ventures.
