Sinopec Lubricating Company ERP code conversion project successfully launched

    On June 8, the ERP material code conversion project of Sinopec Lubricant Company was successfully launched on schedule, achieving the goal of a uniform material supply from the material to the product, from the customer to the supplier's material code and the headquarters standard code, and further promoted the management of material supply. Standardization and standardization development have enabled continuous deepening of ERP applications.

    Sinopec Lubricating Oil Company started implementing ERP in 2006, and the main business of production, supply and sales of 14 directly-affiliated units all went into operation on the ERP line. In March 2008, it successfully passed the acceptance of the headquarters of Sinopec, and in December of the same year, it passed the application inspection of the Refining Business Division and became the first batch of qualified companies. It has now been operating smoothly for 5 years. According to the requirements of the second batch of promotion of the company's material coding conversion work initiated by Sinopec headquarters, the Lubricant Company's code conversion project started in January and entered the main implementation phase in late February.

    In view of the geographically distributed nature of the secondary units, the project team adopts a combination of centralized and decentralized offices, assigns responsibilities to specific units and individuals, identifies time nodes, and ensures the progress and quality of data collection and clean-up. After more than three months of hard work, the merger of Beijing and Tianjin based on institutional reforms in the ERP system was successfully completed and on-line on April 8th, becoming the first successful example of the object-code conversion project. Afterwards, the project team carried out integration testing, analog switching, and user acceptance testing on the basis of a clear design change plan. In the process of the project, there were a total of 1.42 million pieces of static and dynamic main data of each module, 39 items of development requirements such as reports, etc. 105 items of data conversion tools were provided, and 52 items of various types such as optimization and improvement were resolved. 10 new business functions.
