Sony is showing off its latest smartphone camera sensor that shoots 1080p slow-motion movies at 1,000 frames per second. The new 3-layer CMOS sensor, the industry's first, can shoot slow motion video with its minimum focal length.
The sensor can also take a 19.3 million-pixel image, Sony said this is four times faster than other chips, due to large-capacity DRAM, and used to convert analog video signals into digital signals.
The camera conversation basically means that the sensor is currently in production. Although the iPhone 7 can shoot 1080p slow motion video at 120fps.
