According to statistics, from January to February, the city's industrial enterprises above designated size achieved a total revenue of 42.182 billion yuan, an increase of 32.95%, a tax of 3.505 billion yuan, a decrease of 0.11%, and a profit of 1.808 billion yuan, a decrease of 10.19%. The thermal power companies were mainly affected by the increase in price of raw coal and the reduction in the number of hours of electricity generation, and the benefits declined. The profits of Dongfang Thermal Power, Huaneng Shang'an Power Plant, Hebei Thermal Power Plant and Xibaipo Power Plant (including the Second Company) decreased by 282 million yuan year-on-year.
Different from the aforementioned industries, the benefits of the pharmaceutical and chemical industries have shown a rapid growth, with an increase of over 80% year-on-year.
