(9) Simple statistical method
Simple statistical method is a relatively rough method of calculating reserves. The formula used is generally:
Q = S × P × K
Or Q=V×q×K
Wherein, S is calculated as the reserve area; coal reserves within a volume V based calculation range; P is the average density of the coal-bearing, i.e. the average number of coal-bearing unit area; Q is the average rate of the coal-bearing, i.e. coal formation unit The average coal content of the volume; K is the correction factor.
In coalfield forecasting, the following formula is often used for reserve calculations:
Q=S×m×d×K or Q=V×n×d×K
Where m is the total thickness of the coal seam; n is the coal bearing coefficient; d is the average bulk density of the coal.
The magnitude of the correction factor K is related to the characteristics of the coal-bearing construction, the damage of the later transformation, and the degree of geological research. Generally, 0.2-0.5 is preferred. The coal-bearing construction is extensively developed, the lithologic facies is stable, and the area with little damage or late geological research is generally taken as the upper limit of 0.5, and vice versa.
The method is simple, but the precision is low, so it is suitable for areas with low research level, or peripheral and deep parts of old mining areas, or some unstable and extremely unstable coal seams in southern China, or for calculation of reserves in coal field prediction work.
