“Why do we have to block products that have obvious advantages? China has good electric two-wheel, tricycle and agricultural vehicle industry bases. According to statistics, in Shandong Province alone, the output of micro electric vehicles reached 258,000 from January to October 2015. From 2010 to 2014, Shandong's micro-electric vehicle production achieved a 10-fold increase. It is predicted that the sales of micro electric vehicles will increase by at least 50% in 2015 to more than 600,000 units, and at least 1 million units will be reached in 2020. It is reported that in the context of the growing market, China Micro Electric Vehicle Standardization Technical Committee was established in Beijing in 2015 and officially launched the development of China's miniature electric vehicle standards. The committee specially hired Xu Dingming, Chen Qingquan, Han Yingwei, Chen Yunbo, Qian Yitai, Guo Konghui, Yang Yusheng, Qi Lu, Chen Quanshi, Xu Dehong, ten academicians and experts as senior consultants. The Standards Committee began standard setting work in July 2015. The standard discussion draft was published from September 30 to December 10, and expert review was conducted from December 20 to 30.
