The dynamic joint surface of the CNC machine tool mainly refers to the reciprocating part of the oil cylinder, the plunger pump, the rotating part of the sleeve and the spiral moving part of the valve. The seal of the moving joint can be divided into a gap seal (such as a labyrinth seal, a non-contact bush seal) and a gap-free packing seal, which is a more common form of seal on the machine tool.
The gapless packing seal is further divided into a shaped packing seal, a gland packing seal and a felt packing seal.
Most of the forming fillers are rubber, leather or Teflon products, which are mainly deformed by the pre-stress during installation and the pressure of the working medium during operation to achieve sealing. The leakage of such moving joints is mostly caused by wear, aging, ablation and damage of the filler.
The method of governance is to replace the seal.
Gland packing seal: The packing is installed in the stuffing box, and the compression of the stuffing box gland produces the sealing effect of the sliding surface. It is commonly used in rotating parts with low rotation speed and spiral action parts to form a dynamic joint surface. The gland packing is made of rubber, polytetrafluoroethylene as a bonding agent, and fibers such as asbestos, cotton, or wool are woven into a rope shape.
