Beneficiation and processing technology of refractory clay

    Most of China's refractory raw materials mines are manually hand-selected. In order to improve the quality of the ore, reducing the level of mixing, 1979 to 1988 units Shenyang magnesium aluminate and Design Institute Yangquan bauxite and other cooperation, Experimental study of flotation grade alumina clay mineral mining Taihu conducted, using the test The positive flotation process (Fig. 1), the slurry is adjusted with sodium carbonate and sodium hexapate, and the mixture is oxidized with 4:1 oxide wax and tar oil to achieve the classification and purification of the raw materials.

    In addition to soft, semi-soft clay, refractory clay deposits need to be calcined before they can be sold as products. Taking Yangquan bauxite ore as an example, the mine is calcined using rotary kiln and heavy oil is used as fuel. The calcination temperature depends on the grade of calcined raw meal, special grade 1700~1750°C, grade I 1650~1700°C, grade II 1600 ~ 1650 ° C. The kiln speed also depends on the grade of the calcined raw meal, special grade 80 ~ 85s / r, grade I 75 ~ 80s / r, grade II 65 ~ 70s / r. The amount of material to be discharged is 18 to 20 t/h. Material residence time is 3 ~ 3.5h. Figure 2 shows the production process of the calcining plant. The chemical composition of the calcined clinker is: high grade aluminum: Al 2 O 3 88%, TiO 2 3.89%, Fe 2 O 3 1.37%, SiO 2 5.90%; grade I high aluminum Al 2 O 3 83.13%, TiO 2 3.45%, Fe 2 O 3 1.12%, SiO 2 13.2%; II grade A high aluminum: Al 2 O 3 75.60%, TiO 2 3.32% , Fe 2 O 3 1.78%, SiO 2 18.6%; II B grade high aluminum: Al 2 O 3 72.90%, TiO 2 3.23%, Fe 2 O 3 1.21%, SiO 2 21.60%. The density of clinker: special grade 3.27t/m 3 , grade I 3.07t/m 3 , grade II grade 2.80t/m 3 , II grade 2.60t/m 3 . Water absorption rate of clinker: special grade 2.4%~8.1%, grade I 3.0%~9.2%, grade II grade 3.8%~10.80%, II grade B 6.1%~ 15.90%. The refractoriness of clinker is greater than 1 790 °C. The sieve blanks are all less than 10% and the impurities are less than 4%.
