This top-notch passenger car engine independently developed in China fills the gap in the domestic market, indicating that China has mastered the development technology of the top passenger car engine.
It is understood that the V12 engine type is an air-jet injection all-aluminum engine and is a gasoline engine developed by FAW Group for the new HQE Dahongqi. This engine not only has a number of new technologies and new structures for the first time in China, but also has reached the advanced level of similar international products. This is another breakthrough achievement made by FAW Group in the field of independent development of passenger car engines following the JB8 engine and gasoline direct injection engine. Through the development of this engine, FAW Group has mastered the key technologies for the development of V-type engines, laying a solid foundation for the next step in the development of V6 and V8 engines.
It is reported that according to the FAW project planning process, the V12 engine will be put into mass production in April 2009, providing power support for the high-end red flag sedan - HQE level platform products.
