The world's largest free forging hydraulic press Shanghai came out

    The 16,500-ton free forging hydraulic press, designed and manufactured by China National Heavy Machinery Research Institute (formerly Xi'an Heavy Machinery Research Institute) and manufactured by Shanghai Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd., has been installed at Shanghai Heavy Machinery Plant and has successfully entered the commissioning phase.

    It is reported that this is the largest free forging hydraulic press production line in the world. The degree of automation is greatly improved, and it has the ability to forge more than 600 tons of forgings, which can meet the demand for large forgings required for large-scale nuclear power, thermal power, hydropower, shipbuilding, chemical, machinery manufacturing and other key projects related to China's economic construction and national defense safety.

    In the development process, the hydraulic press fully draws on the successful development experience of free forging hydraulic press at home and abroad, adopts the world's advanced control technology and means, and selects, processes and heats the large casting and forging materials according to the actual situation of domestic large-scale equipment manufacturing. Heavy, transportation, installation, commissioning and other aspects, to overcome more than 10 key technologies, and a number of technological innovations, greatly improved China's ability to develop extra large forging equipment.

    The successful development of 16,500 tons of free forging hydraulic press not only meets the development trend of free forging hydraulic presses in the world, but also meets the needs of large-scale free forging to numerical control, high precision and professional development.

    It is mainly used for cooling the hot pellets come out of Pellet Mill. The high temperature 70°C-90°C pellet after cooling is less than 3°C-5°C ambient temperature, and reduce to safe moisture content. The cooling pellets not only increase the pellets hardness but also prevent mildew, eaay for storage and transportation.

    The counter flow cooling principle is adopted to cool the pellets with high temperature and high moisture. Hot air touches hot pellets and cool air touches cool pellets so as to avoid the pellet surface crack by shock cooling produced by direct contact between cool air and hot pellets. At the same time, the airclosed airclock is adopted for feeding and bigger air inlet area, therefore it can get better cooling effects.
