According to reports, the US Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recently announced that Mercedes-Benz will recall 4,871 cars and SUVs in the United States because of potential oil spills in some vehicles.
According to the NHTSA document, the Mercedes-Benz recalled the E250BlueTec sedan, the E250BlueTec4Matic sedan, the GLK2504MaticBlueTecSUV and the ML2504MaticBlueTecSUV produced in 2015 between 2014 and 2015.
According to the information disclosed by NHTSA, there is a risk of oil leakage near the gasket of the four-cylinder diesel engine tight chain device installed in the above models, which will increase the risk of fire or engine flameout. The leaked oil will also affect other vehicles and increase the risk of collision.
A Mercedes-Benz spokesperson said that the company has not received the relevant accident report, and said that the company has started to send recall information to the owner this week. The owner can go to the dealer to replace the tight-chain device gasket for free.
