The China Automobile Association’s October production and sales data conference was held today. According to the data, the production and sales of automobiles in October decreased by a month-on-month basis and increased slightly year-on-year. From January to October, the year-on-year growth of automobile output fell slightly compared with the previous September, and sales volume picked up slightly.
General overview of production and sales: In October, the auto production was 1.587 million, a decrease of 4.48% from the previous quarter and an increase of 1.07% year-on-year; sales of 160.60 million units were down by 0.73% from the previous period and an increase of 5.32% year-on-year.
Among them, the production of passenger cars was 1,280,200, a month-on-month decrease of 5.39%, an increase of 1.45% year-on-year, and sales were 1,298,900, a decrease of 1.27% from the previous quarter and an increase of 6.40% year-on-year. Commercial vehicle production reached 306,800 units, a month-on-month decrease of 0.53% and a year-on-year decrease of 0.52%; sales of 307,100 units were up 1.63% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 0.99%.
From January to October, automobile production and sales amounted to 15,7201,000 units and 1,570,700 units, which was a year-on-year increase of 4.56% and 3.56% respectively. Compared with the previous September, output growth slowed down by 0.42 percentage points, and sales volume increased by 0.19 percentage points. Among them, 12.643 million vehicles and 12.5711 million passenger vehicles were sold and sold, an increase of 7.67% and 6.90% year-on-year; commercial vehicle production and sales were 3,070,600 and 3,129,600, a year-on-year decrease of 6.55% and 7.97% respectively.
Key enterprises (groups): In October, the top 10 manufacturers of automobile sales were: SAIC, Dongfeng, FAW, Chang'an, BAIC, Brilliance, Great Wall, Geely, Chery, and JAC, with sales of 419,900 and 21,380,000 respectively. There were 290,600 vehicles, 162,000 vehicles, 152,800 vehicles, 58,900 vehicles, 57,700 vehicles, 48,800 vehicles, 44,200 vehicles, and 42,100 vehicles. Compared with last month, SAIC, Chang'an, Great Wall and Geely have increased, while other companies have seen a certain decline. In October, the above-mentioned ten companies sold a total of 1,398,800 vehicles, accounting for 87.10% of the total vehicle sales.
From January to October, the top ten manufacturers of automobile sales were: SAIC, Dongfeng, FAW, Chang'an, BAIC, GAC, Brilliance, Great Wall, Chery, and JAC, with sales of 3.6953 million, 254.07 million, and 2.18.63 million respectively. There were 1,655,500 vehicles, 1,353,800 vehicles, 581,900 vehicles, 519,900 vehicles, 490,900 vehicles, 457,600 vehicles, and 390,890 vehicles. From January to October, the above-mentioned ten companies sold a total of 13.7338 million vehicles, accounting for 87.79% of the total sales of automobiles.
