It was learned from the 2014 China Tire Profiling Symposium that the Saudi Energy Efficiency Planning Technology Association is considering a rolling resistance certification similar to the European Union. The proposed Saudi rolling resistance standard is divided into two parts: rolling resistance and wet road surface grip.
Relevant persons of Hangzhou Weiwo Standard Technology Co., Ltd. told reporters that the certification standard will be implemented from 2015. Among them, the rolling resistance is based on GSOISO28580. The test methods include four methods: force measurement method, torque method, deceleration method and power method. The experimenter can choose arbitrarily; the wet road grip is based on GSOISO23671 and GSOISO15222. The braking force of the tire on the wet road surface was tested, and the wet road grip index was obtained by comparison with the standard tire.
It is understood that after the EU tire labeling law has implemented rolling resistance standards, other countries are also planning to implement or improve similar standards, such as South Korea, Brazil, Japan and the United States.
