West Chicago 3rd Alarm fire 11-4-12

Today around 10:15 a.m., the West Chicago Fire Protection District was called to 1212 Kings Court, where they found a fire in a three-story brick apartment building with 24 units. The structure measured approximately 50 by 125 feet.

I arrived on scene quite late into the incident, and I've submitted several photos to document what I saw. More images can be found on my SmugMug site.

Itâ€™s always tough to see these kinds of incidents up close, especially when you arrive after the main action has already taken place. These pictures give a good sense of the size and intensity of the blaze. Iâ€™m sure the residents were lucky to get out safely, and I appreciate the efforts of the first responders who worked quickly to contain the fire.
