Due to design reasons, some vehicles in this recall range have improperly handled the surface of the movable contact inside the mirror switch, causing the movable contact to wear during the operation of the switch. The wear powder is accumulated and the contact resistance increases after oxidation, which may cause the vehicle to travel. During the parking process, the left and right exterior mirrors are automatically folded at the same time, which affects the driver's rear partial view and has potential safety hazards.
Honda Techno Industry (China) Investment Co., Ltd. and Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the rear view mirror switches for vehicles within the scope of the recall to eliminate defects. Stock vehicles will be sold after the defect has been eliminated.
