Wastewater heap leaching in Jiangxi Dexing Copper Mine

The mine is China's large porphyry copper mines, open pit mining. At the same time of mining, a large amount of waste rock is produced, with an average of 0.121% copper, of which 0.083% of the original copper sulfide, accounting for 72.9%. In order to recover copper from waste rock, several years of small and column immersion tests have been carried out, and a 1000t level expanded heap leaching test has recently been completed. The waste rock is not broken, stacked according to the original size, the acid pit water is first rinsed for several weeks, the sulfide ore is oxidized to produce acid, and then the appropriate amount of the strain is transplanted, so that there are 10 4 to 10 6 / ml of active bacteria in the leach solution. . After that, the pH value of the bacteria is controlled to be below 3, so that the bacteria can be self-supported. It adopts circulating spray, leaching and leaching, one week of immersion and one week of leisure. When the liquid strength is about 8L/m 2 , the leaching solution contains more than 1g/L of copper and the ratio of iron to copper is ≤11. Copper is recovered by extraction-electrowinning. After one year, the leaching rate has reached 16.59%, and a total of 200.79kg of copper has been leached. The expansion of the test was successful, setting a precedent for the treatment of low-grade ore and waste rock by the heap leaching method of similar copper mines in China.
