At the Hengli Die Industry Summit, the International Model Association Secretary-General Luo Baihui said that the development of large-user mold industries such as automobiles, home appliances, IT industry, packaging, building materials and daily necessities will continue to provide a large market space for the development of molds. For example, more than 90% of automotive manufacturing processes use molds, and automobile-related molds account for nearly one-third of the total molds in China (Germany, Japan, and the United States account for more than 40%). The development of automotive molds relies mainly on new models. More than 90% of plastic products are molded by molds, so plastic molds account for 45% of China's total mold volume. China's plastic products are close to 60 million tons in 2012, and annual growth is 15% to 20%.

Due to the manufacturing costs of foreign industrial advanced countries and other reasons, the demand for middle- and low-end molds (including some mid-to-high-end molds) is mainly resolved through external procurement. China's mold level and export capacity can fully meet the needs, so the mold export market is huge.
