Took this around 0515 on Thursday. Getting any decent shots was incredibly challenging due to the heavy smoke and the L tracks obstructing the view of the front. The only decent shot I managed was from the rear, which was upwind. However, the badly arcing wires prevented me from getting too close to the scene. Since it was a plating company, there were hazmat protocols in place, along with some local evacuations. It was great to see the new TL5 in action. On the other hand, TL10 had an older HME spare and was operating quite sparingly.

I had to stay cautious while taking these photos, especially given the risks involved with live electrical wires and hazardous materials. It’s always impressive to see how quickly our first responders can mobilize during emergencies like this. The coordination between different units is crucial, and it’s clear that everyone involved was doing their best to contain the situation as safely and efficiently as possible.
