The Buffalo Grove Fire and Police Departments joined forces with the Patriot Guard Riders to honor Airman Ben Rosengarden as he returned home from Afghanistan on Thursday evening. A special dinner was held in his honor at the Village Bar & Grill in Buffalo Grove, where local officials and residents came together to show their gratitude. The fire department deployed several units to pay tribute to his service, while Buffalo Grove and Deerfield police officers provided a protective escort for the group as they traveled from Deerfield to the event location. Alongside them, members of the Patriot Guard Riders also participated in the heartfelt welcome.
A powerful sight was witnessed as Buffalo Grove Tower Ladder 25 stood proudly with an American flag, symbolizing the community's respect and appreciation for the returning service member. A line of firefighters formed along the route, standing tall as the procession passed by, showing their support for Airman Rosengarden. A Buffalo Grove police officer led the motorcade, guiding the group through the streets in a moving display of unity and patriotism. As the convoy arrived, Airman Rosengarden was met by firefighters who personally thanked him for his dedication and sacrifice.
