Commercial fire in Waukegan, 10-10-15

Both the Waukegan Fire Department and the North Chicago Fire Department received early morning calls on October 10, 2015, regarding smoke in the area and reports of a fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found a significant fire at Waukegan Towing and Auto Repair, located at 1115 Elizabeth Street â€” a location very close to the border between Waukegan and North Chicago.

The incident was initially classified as a Box Alarm, which is typically used when there's a change of quarters or for a more severe situation. It was then upgraded to bring in additional units to help manage the blaze. Below are several photos taken at the scene. A video will be posted soon.
