Chicago Still Alarm

Steve Redick captured a small fire today on the city’s Northwest Side, specifically in the 6500 block of Onarga. He reported that Engine 9 and Engine 55 were dispatched to the scene. Truck 9, equipped with a 2010 Spartan/Crimson aerial ladder, arrived first, followed by Truck 55, which has a 2002 Pierce Dash. According to Steve, the fire originated in the basement and began to spread upward, prompting crews to take immediate action. The images show Truck 9 positioned with its new aerial apparatus, ready for operations. Truck 55 was the first unit on scene and quickly moved to the roof to assess the situation. The photos also reveal firefighters working to control the fire, with some entering the building to check for any signs of extension. Engine 11 was staged nearby, while Engine 119 served as the still engine on the scene. These images provide a clear look at the response efforts and the coordination between different units during the incident.
