Box Alarm in Evanston, 12-5-16

There was a fire at the Evanston Box Alarm located at 635 Sherman Avenue. It's a three-story, multi-family apartment building. From what I saw, whatever apparatus was on scene, Engine 25 dropped a large supply line down the alley and used the deck gun to put some serious water on the fire. The flames were coming out of the second-floor rear window and had started the porches on fire, which then spread to an adjacent exposure building. I also noticed a large solar panel array on the roof, which must have made venting quite challenging. The positioning of the aerial ladder through the trees was well executed. This was also my first time seeing the new Skokie tower in action. You can view all the images and a short video here.
