Box Alarm in Maywood, 12-21-19

From what I just heard from Steve Redick: "This is coming from my friend who lives in Maywood. The address where the fire happened is 135 South 19th Avenue. It was intense! I've attached some photos I took myself. You can see one of the E-ONE aerial ladders working hard to douse the flames. There’s also a shot of their fire engine on the scene, looking so professional with that red and white color scheme. The aftermath at night was surreal—everything had this eerie glow from the remaining embers. I managed to snap a few more images of the Maywood Fire Department's own engine and even got a picture of an impressive E-ONE Bronto Sky-Lift parked nearby. The whole neighborhood was buzzing with activity, but now it looks so quiet after everything has settled down. I’ve included several photos to give you a better idea of the scale of the fire. The first one shows the house engulfed in smoke and flames, while another captures the firefighters doing their best to control the situation. There’s also a shot of the burned-out structure later that evening—it’s heartbreaking to see such destruction." [Attached are multiple photos showing different angles of the incident, including close-ups of the firefighting equipment and wider views of the damage caused by the fire.]
