In one shot, Squad 2's Snorkel is seen in Sector 1, with its bucket extended to reach a small window in a vacant building. This allowed crews to apply water directly to the fire from an elevated position. Steve Redick's photo captures the critical moment when the team used this technique to gain access.
Another image shows thick smoke billowing from the structure as firefighters worked with hand lines and elevated master streams to contain the flames. The scene highlights the difficulty of the operation, as the building offered limited access from both the front and rear.
