Designers dedicated to driving meaningful change now have access to the best tools from Autodesk.

For years, Autodesk has been committed to empowering its customers to harness design as a force for good. Today, individuals and organizations addressing critical global issues such as climate change, healthcare accessibility, and poverty reduction rely heavily on cutting-edge technology from Autodesk. We’re thrilled to share that Industry Collections are now accessible to entrepreneurs and nonprofit innovators worldwide. Let’s explore some of the impactful programs Autodesk offers to support these trailblazers and the remarkable outcomes they’ve achieved so far.

Through the Technology Impact Program, Autodesk donates software to nonprofits globally that are leveraging design for social and environmental progress. Established in 2013, this program has gifted software to over 1,200 organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, which fosters community building through home construction; UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, which safeguards and supports displaced populations; and Build Health International, which designs and constructs high-quality healthcare facilities in underprivileged regions worldwide.

Similarly, the Entrepreneur Impact Program targets startups and early-stage companies creating positive societal and environmental change. Participants gain access to software, training, mentorship, and networking opportunities to accelerate their ventures. Initially launched in 2009 as the Cleantech Partner Program, it broadened in 2015 to embrace all types of impact-driven entrepreneurs. These entrepreneurs are tackling challenges in areas like energy efficiency, mobility, health, and material innovation. With a global reach, the program accepts applications from all corners of the world.

So far, we’ve supported more than 3,000 startups worldwide, including FreeWire, which developed EV chargers using recycled electric vehicle batteries; BioLite, a social enterprise providing energy solutions to off-grid communities; Little Sparrows Technologies, which created an affordable portable phototherapy device for treating jaundice in areas lacking consistent electricity; and Vantage Power, which retrofits diesel buses with hybrid powertrains, reducing fuel consumption and emissions by over 40%.

In addition, the Autodesk Foundation complements these initiatives by investing in individuals and organizations using design for impactful change. As the first foundation solely focused on design, it was established in 2013 and currently funds 35 grantee organizations across the globe.

Grantees include D-Rev, a nonprofit product development company delivering high-impact goods to low-income populations; MASS Design Group, which builds infrastructure and structures for underserved communities; and Water for People, a nonprofit working toward universal access to safe drinking water and sanitation.

These changemakers are reshaping the world by solving pressing social and environmental problems. They now benefit from Industry Collections, granting them access to essential Autodesk software and services tailored to their industries.
