Still alarm with a working fire upgrade reported at 11303 South Normal Street in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred on Saturday, May 29, 2021. The address is located in the 500 block of West 113th Street, near the intersection of 114th Street. The initial still alarm was triggered at 2:31 PM Central Time and was reported by the Englewood Fire Alarm Office (E.F.A.O.).
Upon receiving the still alarm, Engine 62, Engine 115, Ladder 27, Tower Ladder 24, and Battalion Chief 22 were dispatched to the scene. At 2:34 PM, the response was upgraded to a working fire situation. Additional units were sent out, including Squad 5, Squad 5A, EMS Unit 459, Battalion Chief 21, Ambulance 60, Ladder 62, and others.
The official box alarm was declared at 2:45 PM, bringing in reinforcements such as Engine 75, Engine 93, Special Operations Command (S.O.C.) 515, Fire Investigation (OFI) 468, Ladder 40, EMS 468, and Battalion Chiefs 19 and 23.
