Additionally, they’ve introduced a new subscription model for Autodesk SketchBook, a popular family of digital painting and sketching applications with over 25 million users worldwide.

For 2014, anyone can start using the desktop version of SketchBook for free. The free version provides core tools to create basic drawings, allowing artists to get familiar with the natural drawing experience and the capabilities of SketchBook.
Signing up for a free SketchBook membership unlocks SketchBook Essentials, a more advanced set of tools designed to refine the digital artist's workflow. Features like layer management, a full-color palette, brush customization, dynamic symmetry, and ruler tools are added to the toolkit, giving artists greater precision and control for more complex creations.
A paid subscription, priced at $24.99 annually or $2.99 monthly, grants access to the latest version of SketchBook Pro 7, the ultimate digital artist’s toolbox. It includes all the new tools from SketchBook Pro 7, such as Flipbook mode, Perspective Guides, and Distort Transform, along with enhanced tools like an improved layer editor with blending modes and layer grouping, and refined selection tools. A paid membership also unlocks SketchBook across all desktop platforms—Windows, Mac—and will include future updates for SketchBook on iOS and Android.
